016 – Other good stuff at Sun ‘n Fun – Part 1

There was obviously a lot of activity, especially on Wednesday. Following the lousy weather on Tuesday, the skies above Lakeland were filled with  nonstop stream of aircraft large and small trying to get into Lakeland before the air show started. I was able to park myself toward the end of Runway 5/23, which was closed and was being used as a parking ramp for warbirds and other large aircraft. It was also a good spot from the standpoint of lighting. Here, in no particular order, are just a few of the more interesting heavy planes. More to follow .

I was not aware of the Pacaero Beech 18 conversion. Thanks for posting that picture. And all the others. Never been to Sun n Fun. Your pictures give me an idea of what I am missing.
